Adding the foundations to start the cold room build.

Adding the foundations to start the cold room build.

Lanchester Dairies

A dairy farmer's business in North Yorkshire experienced fast growth in their dairy business and wanted a large cold room to reduce costs of using mobile cold storage, accommodate existing stocks of food products and be large enough to store product to meet future demands from their customers. The extra space would also allow them to use a fork lift truck to move the stock, making distribution more efficient and potentially avoiding manual handling incidents within their team

The customer already had the floor in place, ready for us to build the walls, ceiling, and top hat section.  The walls were set at a certain height which made it easier to replenish and empty quicker using a large forklift truck.

We then secured aluminium channel to the wall in order to safely start adding the refrigerated panels to start the cold room walls and installed the refrigerated piping.

We then installed the main doorway to the cold room with a brand new coolit door on a runner system with a new lock and key. Two door openings placed at either end of the cold room were installed as well as two safety/fire doors.

Our team fitted new anti-slip floor covering, and two 3-fan evaporators with lighting strips and pvc door curtains.

The customer took advantage of our ongoing maintenance service, which keeps the equipment run at optimum levels. This helps them save money by prolonging the life of the equipment, minimise energy levels and potentially avoid future call out charges and rental fees of emergency equipment. For more information about our services, please contact us.
